Hako means box or storage in Japanese, and within the 101 Copenhagen universe it is a furniture collection inspired by Japanese life. Hako's collections are handcrafted from large blocks of ash wood and French bamboo mesh to form a translucent front or top. The wooden surface transitions smoothly into the metal frame and fittings, creating a sophisticated contemporary style. The characteristic conical legs and slim metal tray are made of galvanized metal.
